CHITRA LANE SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS – SRI LANKA

In 2008 we began to support the Chitra Lane Children resource Centre in Sri Lanka. This is one of the few projects in Sri Lanka conducting comprehensive detection and intervention programmes for children with special needs, there are numerous child centred programmes, including sewing, cooking and art, being conducted all under one roof.
The GDCT provide funding for the programmes and we have visited the Centre on a number of occasions. After visiting the Centres, I always leave being inspired but at the same time feeling humbled.
In September this year I visited a fashion event for Chitra Lane with my two sons.
